DR. CHARLES CASTORO has been a medical practitioner since 1977. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Castoro graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown Medical School. He was a medical and surgical intern at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a resident in ophthalmology and Chief Resident at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. In private practice in Bel Air Maryland, Dr. Castoro was co-founder, practice owner, and surgical director of Parris-Castoro Eye & Laser Center. Following retirement from private practice, Dr. Castoro taught general eye and surgical wet lab classes to resident doctors at Johns Hopkins University Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore. He brings his many years of training and experience in ophthalmic private practice, surgery, and teaching to Castoro Wellness.

Dr. Castoro has a notable history of community service. He is a long-time member of the Bel Air Maryland Rotary, served on the Harford Community College board of trustees, and is a current board member of the Historical Society of Harford County. He enjoys teaching at all levels, be it ophthalmic surgical skills to resident doctors or the basics of eye health to school children.
