TO SAFELY PURCHASE
MEDICAL CANNABIS IN MARYLAND

1) HAVE A FREE ONLINE HEALTH EVALUATION

IF you are 18 or older, a Maryland resident, and have one or more of the Maryland Qualifying Conditions listed here, request a phone conference with Dr. Castoro. During the conference, he will ask you about your medical history. He will then discuss with you your QUALIFYING CONDITION(S) for medical cannabis. There is NO CHARGE for this conference.

2) REGISTER WITH THE MMCC

If during the teleconference, Dr. Castoro agrees that your Qualifying Condition would benefit from medical cannabis, you then must first REGISTER as a new patient with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). You will need to provide some basic information, upload a valid Government-issued ID, upload proof of your Maryland address, upload a picture of yourself with a white background, and pay a $25 fee to the State of Maryland. After a processing period (two to four weeks on average), the MMCC will issue you a Patient Number. Your MMCC Patient Number is valid for three years.

 

MARYLAND QUALIFYING CONDITIONS

You can use medical cannabis as part of your wellness program to manage certain diseases and conditions or to relieve their symptoms, including:

  • Anorexia

  • Cachexia or wasting syndrome

  • Chronic pain

  • Glaucoma

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Severe pain

  • Severe nausea

  • Seizures

  • Severe or persistent muscle spasms

  • Other chronic medical condition which is severe and for which other treatments have been ineffective

3) GET YOUR MMCC CERTIFICATION CARD

Once you receive your MMCC Patient Number, contact Dr. Castoro. He will officially CERTIFY you with the MMCC to legally purchase medical cannabis at any Maryland licensed dispensary. There is $100 FEE for this FIRST TIME CERTIFICATION. Once certified, you can immediately print and use your digital MMCC certification card while you wait for your physical card to come in the mail. You MUST purchase medical cannabis at least once within 120 days of your certification date or the MMCC will cancel your certification.

After one year, you will need to RENEW your certification with Dr. Castoro. He will have another phone conference with you to see how you are doing. The YEARLY RENEWAL FEE is $60.

ALL PROFITS FROM CERTIFICATION FEES WILL BE DONATED TO A CHARITY AT THE END OF EACH YEAR.
